1. Since they'll be in a ten gallon glass aquarium, would that be big enough for two gerbils? I've heard it would be large enough, but it looks rather small.....
A 10 Gallon Tank.. hmm.. I think that would be good for 2 gerbils (:.

2. Do dwarf hammies smell more than gerbils? I heard with gerbils you clean the whole tank about once every one or two weeks, with hammies more than once a week.
Well. Gerbils are very clean animals. Although I've went through many a hamster, they weren't nearly as clean as the gerbils. Gerbils pee and poop in one corner, and clean themselves alot. Also, yes, Once a week is perfect cage cleaning for gerbils.

3. Does one bite (or nibble!) more than the other?
I'd say gerbils bite (or nibble) more. But only if aggervated.

4. Which one lives longer??
I've had gerbils living up to 5 years.
The life span of a hamster is two to three years.
