having babies without breeding!

I have a question? Nikki's my son hamster had one baby and then we got rid of her mate and she has not been with a male for over three to four weeks and she just had a litter of two babies WITHOUT MATING! How could that happen?

No, I am sorry she had FIVE BABIES! yeah, she had one baby and she was not done nursing yet and then had five!

Lila they will breed back as soon as the litter is born and that is probably what has happened.It usually takes 15-18 days for a female to give birth.So I am asuming this is what happened.The other baby if it is a male needs to be removed as well or you will have more babies.If it is a female just leave her with mom and the new litter.

Oh no Runt that will not happen, Lila and I have seperated all of the hammies no males with any females. They are all in single cages now.
