I lose my beloved hammy

My cute lovely golden hammy is dead Last night he was sleeping like a baby, when i examed him i see that he had something stuck in his anus, i try pulling it out but it only hurt him i asked a friend she said he'll b fine i guess because they clean themselves, he was active when i played with him and acting pretty normal...This morning...i woke up to find him dead on his side..at first i thought he was sleeping so i left him alone..but when he didn't wake up i softly pet him but he didn't wake up either (normally he would) i pick him up and tear began to roll down my eyes i stared into his little face wondering what happen..what did i do wrong? he doesn't seem to be sick at all though..was it because of the milk i gave him b4?? i have no idea why...i'm just very sad right now.. i'm sure he is somewhere better..he was my fist pet..i will never forget u buddy..i'm so sorry, I already and i loved u Gebo....

im very very sorry about your loss. I know what it is like to loose an animal close to you. Now about the the thing that you noticed, how long would u say it was since you had last examined him and he did not have any trace of a growth. How big was it? What color was it? If I know this, I can try to make a diagnosis of what it was.

I am so sorry! that is so sad. I know what it feels like to lose a pet..it hurts. the milk could've been the reason, but please dont blame yourself! there was nothing you could do, and whats happened has happened, so blaming yourself wouldn't make it any better. the other reason could've been (because you said) that there was something stuck in his anus. This could've prevented him from going to the bathroom, and that could've been what happened. whatever the cause, I hope you feel better. He is probably in hammy heaven right now, and he's keeping an eye on you. wait a few weeks to heal, and then maybe you can think of getting another hamster to take care of, and that might help you heal, having somthing else to care for. altho I know no other pet could take the place of him, but another pet could help, so that you have something else to love. I hope you will feel better.
