Introducing a 3rd girl
I have a pair of sister campbells that live in a modified-tub style cage. They're around 2 months old and from the same litter. They get along well, cuddle alot, and only squeek occasionally (usually when both are trying to use the waterbottle at the same time.)
Today I plan to get a 3rd campbell girl. I have a separate habbitrail cage I can keep her in, but I'd prefer to see if she can habitate with the other two.
Any tips on introducing a new hamster to an existing pair?

I would introduce them simillary like I would mice....give them a neutral ground to introduce in....such as a tub...for me, I would monitor and let them stay like this for an hour or so...then i would super clean their cage...or better if you have a spare....clean it well...get all the previous scent off...add new toys or foreign things that the hamsters would not recognize as their own (i have found that just cleaning up one of their own cages doesnt work...they know it s theres so i have an extra cage i use for intros...) squeeking will prob occur...but pecking order is being re-affirmed...be patient and they will get along..patience is key!

Wow! Great advise! Thanks for the input As it turns out, I didn't get the 3rd girl today... but I'm interested in trying this later. Anyone with any additional tips? Thanks!

I'm not a hamster expert by any means, but i was under the impression you could not bond dwarfs, and they had to be brought up together as pups, or litter mates?

i have bonded them with mice and rats...they are like mice...you must introduce them
there are several types of dwarf hamsters: Campbell, Winter White, Roborovski, and the Chinese
