more babies!!!
hey tomorro im going to breed cornflake again!! yay!! 
but im goning to have to do the split cage method because im going to be breeding her with milkshake, so i never done the spit cage with a male and female and i want to know if there is something i should know or signs to look out for
and hopelfully if she does give birth i want to keep a female and put her with her mother would there be any problems later in life because i've read she might try to push cornflake away????
i really hope they breed ok and nothing gose wrong  but i shouldnt

Why exactly are you breeding? Also you mentioned again...how many litters has Cornflake had?
I like the names by the way.
I used to have a mouse named Milkshake.
Unfortunatly I do not have advice for you,as I have never bred gerbils.I have bred rats and mice,but they are a little different from gerbils.

Same questions as Lisa.
-Why are you breeding?
-How many litters has she had?
-What did you get the gerbils you are breeding (Pet store animals should never be bred)
-Do you have homes already for the babies? |

conflake has had only one litter and i have found people that want a gerbil and i might be keeping a baby and im breeding because i want to do it as a hobby like most peopel

When was her last litter? You always want to space the litters out if possible. Also, you mentioned that other people would be taking the babies...what will happen if she has a large litter? I'm only asking because if you bring them to a pet store they'll probably end up as snake food .
Good luck. I don't have any experiencing actually breeding gerbils. If you don't get many replies, maybe try contacting a breeder and asking them.

yeah her last litter was ages ago and im not going to give them to the pet store and the only one i would give he babies so would be pets at home and that is a very very ood pet store the staff know eveything about the animals there and they Never let their animals go for food

sorry if there is a few spelling mistakes im my last message ^
update* corn and milk are getting along fine and they have tried to groom each other through the bars and i found milkshake and corns side of the cage (how i dont know) so i decided to put them both on the stairs toether and they where fine apart from milk chasing corn to breed but i dont think she is in heat yet and now they are both in the cage without the wire mesh and everynow and again milk will chase her round but their okay

Yeah i was going to say pets at home are pretty good, they wouldnt sell them for food as they don't even sell reptiles well i hope everything goes ok

Actually they cannot know or sure that the animal is not going to be food. People lie and don't always say what the purpose of the animal is.

Thats true.
People could claim they want them for pets,but might have other intentions.
And that is a problem,because pet stores don't actually screen...they take people's words for it.

yeah but i dont know if the pet shop will take them because i heard the one im blackburn breeds their own gerbils and wont take any others...but i couldnt think why because i got all my gerbils from pets at home but i will more likely to give them to people i know
