I know this should go in memorials.. but I'll post it here as well...
Mouse was the main founder of my breeding program. She first sparked my interest in genetics and breeding. Through her, many people gained an interest in gerbils. Her babies were the best mannered, never did one bite, just like Mouse herself. She was born in December of 2002 and produced many offspring, her living offspring include Yoshi, my first Siamese and Henry. In early June of 2006 she began to suffer from respiratory illness and despite antibiotic treatment at first signs, she continued to grow weaker and more ill. She died in the company of her retired breeding cagemate, Lani, while I was away. She will be sorely missed, as a founder and my favorite gerbil. Rest in Peace sweet Mouse-ums…
