i have a campbells dwarf hamster who's about 2 years old. two days ago, i noticed her
spine was off line with her back, that she dragged her legs behind her when she walked, and that she fell over a lot. Other than that, she's walking normally, eating, and drinking normally. she also is plenty active, regardless of her leg. i've moved her into a seperate cage from her sister, wheres the waters lower and there are no tubes. she can still burrow and clean herself, but i dont know what to do about her legs. if she makes it through the night again, we're going to the vet tomorrow. has this happened to anyone else and what should i do in the meantime?
. the vet said it was amazing she hadn't died by then, but that if we did not put her down she would have nerve problems, her feet would rot, and she would die in pain, which is not what i wanted. RIP hammie
