Some people actually restore my faith in the human race.

A lady brought in her 2 1/2 yr old gerbil today. He was sick and even though it's an emergency clinic and she spent $140 on it, she didn't bat an eye.

Most of the people who call in with small animals like a gerbil say they don't want to spend money on a "$5 animal." I just can't see NOT spending it!! I opened my mouth and made sure she knew she was an above average pet owner and that I really admired her for it!

Good job! I am glad you said something.When Stunner got a hold of something that poisoned his system we spent $70-which is alot in our world but it was over his life and we love hiim and he is still with us! Most people thought we were nuts!

I'm the same way...I spent $1,000 to find help my cat this past January (unfortunately, he didn't make it ).

I'm glad you said something to this lady too. I'm sure it made her feel better.
