Surgery for my baby
So I posted on here about a month ago about my little black bear hamster named princess. So she had fluid in her belly and I kept taking her in to work with me ( I work at a vets office) and we kept draining it and doing x-rays and ultra sounds and all that but we can't find out what's wrong with her. So over the weekend she just stopped moving around as much and likes to hide in her bed (someone at worked asked me to check to see if she's dead but i know she's not 'cause she'll poke her head out and then hide her face which isn't like her at all) so today i had a meeting with the head vet and the vet that has been taking care of her and we all decided that we should do surgery. So the other alternative was to put her to sleep so atleast if she dies in surgery i'll know we atleast tried to help her some more. I just can't stand to see her in pain and so this is what we have to do and now i'm scared. So on wednesday she'll either pull through and be all better or die....so please every one be thinking of me and princess 'cause we need all the thoughts and prayers we can get.
I do wish i had a picture of her beautiful face but i have no way to get it on the computer

I'm sorry to hear she needs surgery. Sam (also a black bear) had to get surgery for a hernia so I know what it's like. He made it through all right. Hamsters are a lot more tough than people credit them for. If you need to talk you can always PM me. I'm going to be praying for princess. Try to relax. I know I couldn't sleep and barely ate when Sam went into surgery. I know it's terribly hard, but try not to work yourself up.
