uh oh... URGENT! BABIES!

Hey guys i bet your getting tired of hearing from me..but i got Indra and Dori from the pet store about 3 days ago.. and last night i was at friends house and i came home this afternoon and checked on my gerbils.. Dori had 2 babies!! Now what do i do? I need some useful sites and some advice because i am totally lost.. When i got the 2 female gerbils the pet store said that they came from a breeder who didn't want to breed anymore and i don't think the pet store knew she was pregnant.. HELP PLEASE..

First of all, make sure you have 2 females. If their *parts* look different then separate them. Gerbils can mate again right after they give birth. If you do have a male and female, they have probably already mated again, but separate them just in case (that is IF they are not both female).

Don't touch the babies unless one has crawled out of the nest and in danger of getting cold. Make sure they have enough bedding to make a nice nest.

That's about all I can think of right this second....it's been a long day and I'm ready for bed. If I think of anything else, I'll post.

hey thanks for your help, if you think of anything else let me know.. i've been checking out alot of websites on gerbils and there babies and have found alot of interesting stuff.. I think things are going really good so far..
