What kind of branches?!!! - Paw Talk

Ive always heard that putting a branch in a gerbils cage was good for them, but i have one question what kind of branches are ok for gerbils to chew on. I have a maple tree is that kind of branch ok for gerbils? I would love to give my gerbils something to chew on but i dont want to hurt them. So any one who can please help me!!

I don't think one off your maple tree would be very good for your gerbil.There are probably pesticides on it.Have you checked your pet store for manzita branches?

Well i know that their are pesticides in trees and i know how to get rid of them. I just need to know if they can chew on them. Thanks for caring anyhow!!

I know that pine tree brances are good. I use 'em all the time! I think the accoually help them live longer. I gave one gerbil them all the time. She lived to be 5 years!
