Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul Pet Food

We have two indoor cats (strictly indoor) who used to do nothing but eat. If their bowl was empty they would cry until you filled it up again.

We were feeding them Whiskas because it was something my dad grabbed at the grocery store and it was relatively cheap.

Fortunately, once we recognized their weight problem, and the fact that they were always at the food dish, I was able to convince my parents to switch foods.

For a few months, we've been using Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul, Adult Light Cat Formula. We've been feeding the cats once a day, the recommended intake for their weights, and their food is actually lasting them the whole day. We're feeding less food at a time, and feeding them fewer times, and they've actually slimmed down (fomr 16 to 13lbs, and from 18 to 16 lbs).

The first ingredients on the list are chicken and salmon, before we get to "chicken meal". And each bag has a "heart-warming story from one of the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series".

I've fed Dakota their brand of Dog Food, and she did well with it. I do like that food, as there aren't any by-products in it.

It's a good food.
Don't be scared of any "meal" products they are just the meats dehydrated. It's by-products, Corn and beet pulp that scare me

I used to feed that to the doggies, they loved it and did very well on it. However, it's an hour-long drive to get it so I switched them. Now they're on Innova (only a 15 minute drive, lol) and do well on that too.

I feed Chicken Soup to both my dog and cat. They are both doing great on it and have shiny coats.
