Could something be wrong?

I was just in bed, and I was woken up by George Michael furiously runny around.
I turned on my light to check on him, and he got really freaked out when the light came on, I can't really see anything going on with him that is out of the ordinary other than that he keeps backing up into corners, and trying to back up more and more.

He's sort of been trying to bite at his nails recently. and he has a cut on his nose that I guess he got from shoving his face in everything.

I was just patting him, and he wasn't making any noise (which is weird because he purrs even when someone just looks at him)

He's kind of acting like how my dog did right after he had a seizure.
I just lose 2 pets within 10 days of eachother last year, so I just get really worried very easily.
I'm gonna take him to a vet as soon as I can, but until then, does any of that sound familiar to anyone?

Update.
I'm pretty sure that He's constipated.
I just gave him some Olive Oil, I hear that that usually helps them.
Is there anyone else that has tried that? If so, how long does it usually take to take effect?
