Question

Hello (newbie) and questions

Hello! I have a question or two about our piggie. Her name is Brownie and she is about 2 months old (I think!). Anyway, here is my question - is it normal for her to have little bald spots right behind her ears? She's seemed pretty healthy, and is eating good (loves green bell peppers and broccoli), she weeks, "popcorns"(is that jumping around her cage like the bottom is on fire?) and is generally very sociable but she does have these two areas right be behind her ears that are sparse of hair. I've never had a pig before, even as a kid (we had hamsters) My son is 4 and after much thought, decided the GP would be a good pet for both of us. She is a short hair pig if that helps at all.

I have enjoyed reading your posts. The pictures are so cute, the stories are funny. How did you get the cute pics by your names? I love it!

Thanks in advance! Browniemom

It is normal to have that area with no hair. There is no hair behind their ears so it's easier for you to rub there, they LOVE that! At least all 27 of mine do.

Thanks!

undefinedundefinedundefined Thanks for the replies, and the welcome. I'm happy to have found a piggie support group! I've been on lists or loops before for my son, and scrapbooking, so it's great to have a place to talk about my new child

Well, I was going to send you a picture of our brown girl, but my camera takes a big picture, and the file is too large to send. I'll have to work with this and figure out how to resize these

That bald patch behind the ear is my favorite spot to give my piggies smooches.
