I found a web site that sells chlorhexiderm 2%shampoo cheaper!

$6.95 for 12oz. bottle
I bought 2 bottles and shipping was $5.95

My vet charged me $14.99 for a 8oz bottle of same thing.

WOW, thanks! I will put that site in my medical favorites list for when we run out. I was wondering though... After they are cleared of the fungus... do you think the Nizoral fungal shampoo would be good enough to say bathe Reuben and Sienna in once a month to aid in prevention?

Right now I am planning this week to bathe a pig a day because it is so exausting to me to bathe a pig. And all of the others need thier bi-yearly baths. And I plan to use Nizoral on at least two of them that have dry skin.

When I bathed Sienna she did lose a few tiny clumps of hair that looked similar to the ones Reuben was loosing on his toes. You know... a few hairs with skin flake attached. So I am bathing her once a week with Reuben, except on different days.

I checked everyone again last night and cleaned boars... ugh! And everyone else seems to have great skin.

all four of mine look better . Emma -I couldn't find any signs of it. Indrah still had a few tiny black specks on her paw. Sundrahs feet look normal now but I still see activity on her nose-skin looks like a white sponge and a few hairs fell out recently. Cassias feet and legs look much better too but the gunk still builds up there but not as much as before, I clean it off every other day with alcohal.I stopped using miconzole on them all since I started the program. But it's nice I don't have to wash and treat them every single day like I was doing before. I may even continue the program more months than the vet told me. I was hoping they would be totally clear by now because I want to put them all together in a C&C again. I just washed all 4 of them today and yesterday, now I have to do Shannah and Sierra tommorow. This fungus is a lot of work!
I have to go look at that site again because I noticed they have a section for ringworm meds.
Tex- I don't know anything about Nizoral, maybe Lilygrace knows.

Hows all the fungus pigs doing out there?
I'm pretty sure I don't see anymore fungus on my pigs. Today I saw something on Cassia's foot, it might be poop but all six got another bath, which they were over due for anyway.
Cassia steps in dodo and everyone gets a bath, lol

Selsun Blue with Aloe is great to wash a pig with. They get really soft and smell great. It's a Peter Gurney recommendation.

If the fungus continues - before you do skin scrapings - try doing LymDyp. 1 tsp per 2 cups of warm water, and sponge on from the head back. Just wear a nose plug cause it STINKS!!!!!!! Do it once a week for 4 weeks.

I did use selsun blue for months, and there was no improvement at all after a bath in it. But remarkable improvement after using the chlorhexiderm 2%shampoo.
Sorry to say I'm not to big a fan of Peter Gurney- his methods just didn't help me get rid of my problem here even though I followed his directions to a tee.
