LOL! Now you know why they call them "Pigs". Serioulsy, mine strew the hay or aspen around when they run around the cage. I just clean it up when it gets to me........... or company is coming.
I'd like to ask a question here. I live in FL and our Sycamore tree has about shed all it's leaves. One day I grabbed armfuls of leaves and put them in the cage with my three girl piggies. They gave a nibble or two and decided it's not 'food' to them, but loved running through the crackly leaves and then bedding down on them.Every day I add more leaves for their fun. All is well there. But now I'm wondering what kind of bedding Spanish Moss would be for them. I know mites get in the moss, but during the cold months here, or after you put the moss in a freezer it is mitefree. Does anyone know if it would be a safe bedding? BTW I have 5 piggies/3 girls and 2 boys- one is a Textel

I have never heard anyone using Spanish moss as bedding and don't know alot about it.Jennicat knows much more about piggies then me...you could PM her,unless she see's this.I no longer have piggies.
