Bathing rats

What kind of shampoo do you use to bathe your rats? Is there a special shampoo for rats?

You can use kitten shampoo or baby shampoo.

I use a rat/ferret shampoo called Beaphar rat and ferret shampoo! Its got aloe vera in it for healthy coats and it smells divine!!

How often do you bath them?

I bath mine once a month because they clean themselfs more than they do anything else in the day. I used to use 'Johnson's Insecticidal shampoo' for small animals, but now I use beaphar ferret and rat shampoo which I got a couple of months ago and they smell very nice!

I bath as and when they need it if they smell really bad because none of them like the water so i try and avoid it unless its really necessary!!! Its normally once every 1-2 months!!
