Depression

Hey guys,
I posted awhile back concerning my mouse jess, who passed away from her illness before I could get her to a vet. So now I've continued caring for my other mouse Pol for the past two months, and things seems alright.

I'm just wondering if there are any signs of depression I should look out for? Cause I know mice are very social creatures and I've been thinking about getting a mouse, but she's about 7 months old now. I would feel like I'm going through a never ending cycle of buying a mouse for another.

These mice were given to me for my birthday, so I was quite unprepared to take care of them. After Jess died I was quite upset, so I just want to try and give Pol the best life I can. So if being alone is affecting her badly, I will bite the bullet and find her a friend.

This is her btw haha

much cute!

my rat got put down not long ago, leaving one left. she seemed depressed. i don't know if rat "psychology" is similar for mice, but probably is. she got really lethargic, stayed in her little house most of the time and seemed pretty apathetic to things. she got over it soon though.

if i were you i would spend alot of time with her because you're probably the only other thing she spends time with. if she'll be good (and i know mice are fast, so i don't know if se can) you could probably have her on your lap or shoulder while you're on the computer, or in a jacket pocket while you walk about around the house. that's what i did.
