Dormice trio or pair ?

Mouse & Rat Discussion Twitching whiskers, tiny paws, and all else mouse or rat related.

Is it safe to keep a trio of Dormice, 1 male and 2 females or is it best to just keep them in pairs? I have heard different opinions and even heard that the other female has eaten the babies. Has anyone had any experience with trios or any problems in that kind of setup?
I guess there could also be a problem introducing a second female as well ?
