Eggs is eggs! (lots of pics)
Last night my tatties had a whole hard boiled egg for the first time. It was so funny watching them try to figure out what it was that I decided I just had to share...
Ooooh what's this?
I can't seem to bite it Mum!
Let me try
Cracked it!!
Not sure if I like this Mum (she says eating a piece of shell!)
Oooh the middle is yummy though, better stash it quick!
Dum de dum, nothing to see here
Hey, where did the round thing go?
And that was the last I saw of it!

Haha, that's adorable I love the one where it looks like she's guarding the egg she stashed.

Bless 'em!! Mine love eggs, but they are hopeless at working out that a boiled egg in it's shell is still an egg..... I usually end up taking pity on mine and cracking it for them.
Lovely pics! Cute smeezy and hoodie xx

Very nice photos.
I really have to try hard boiled eggs for my gerbs, hamsters, and mice. I have no rats - yet.

I tried the hardboiled egg thing, and my rats went NUTS. I have never seen them go that crazy. I had to crack it open for them though because I thought they were gonna have heart attacks if they didn't get it.
After I cracked it, the fat one took off and the baby chased him around the cage...I gave in and gave the baby an egg too.....
THEN I cleaned the cage..I didn't want any rotton eggs laying in there...hehe

if you have quails that lay eggs, try give your ratties them, or even any small bird eggs, raw- they love it. they hold the egg and crack it open on something in the cage
XD
