Escapee
My mouse meatwad got out 2 days ago. Sometimes I take the wheel out, especially at night because it bangs against the bottom of the cage if it's not in there right.
Well I heard her crawling around yesterday but I couldn't catch her. After several attempts of chasing her around the room I gave up and I figured that I would get her sooner or later when she's not expecting it.
After I lost track of her this morning I thought I wouldn't be able to get her. I had left my bedroom door open a few times and I thought for sure that she was gone. And being that it was 2 days I thought for sure that she would dehydrate or starve (I heard her nibbling on crumbs a few times last night)
Well I was sitting here 5 minutes ago and I heard this funny noise. I turned around and she was climbing down the inside of my curtain. The funny thing was, she was at the TOP. I laughed and grabbed her and put her back in with her sister and mama. She drank non stop for about 5 minutes and now she's have some family fueds with her sister. I think her sister thinks shes the alpha female now since meatwad has been gone for 2 days. They'll work it out, I know because meatwad has done this before.
That little mouse keeps me on my toes...lol

Glad she's safe and sound, I'm having the same situation with my mice, 4 of my 6 escaped in my room, and now I have discovered 3, with 1, Oreo, remaining hidden

glad you found them. i have had serval mice excape on me before one time too. had about 8 of them in a 15 gallon tank and they always would manage to get out of it from the top. i started putting bricks on top of it after i realized i only had 3 out of 8 mice in there! but i caught them all thanks to the cat. he wouldnt hurt them, but would "stalk" them letting me know they were under my bed, behind the dresser etc

i would hear her russling but I couldn't find her. Then she started climbing down my curtain...I almost didn't catch her because I was laughing so hard. She drank a ton of water and now she's sleeping with her sisters. It was funny.

Mice are GOOD at escaping, Uke escaped yesterday and I spent hours trying to catch him again -__- Smart too, he was heading towards the bathroom and I was like, AHA! I'll wait until he goes all the way in close the door, and I'll have him, well he saw me edging towards the door, and instead of running into the bathroom away from me, he turns around and goes for the bed XD

I always "lose" mice, when they get out. They are worse then the rats!lol...rats will come to you if they get out, which I never had a rat get out, cept ONCE when my boyfriend knocked over a cage, but she just sat in the corner until I retrived her.
I am glad you found little mousey!

Yeah,I have had some of those outcomes... When you have rats and mice that get out in the room with the rats,well...sometimes you do not find live mice...
I just had a run-away mouse,Timbit, yesterday.I looked all over and couldn't find him. Finally out he popped and I caught him no problem!
