Feeling Special...

Hey!

I'm feeling pretty special! Yesterday when I arrived from my practice, I was talking to my niece and she asked me about Algernon, since she didn't see him in the cage. I told her that he was probably hiding in his box, to open the cage and call him and he usually comes out. She did, and he peeked a bit out of his box, but didn't got out. She put her fingers in front of him and he smelled her and completely hid in his box again. I told her, maybe it's a weird hour for him, since I usually get him out at night. I come to the cage and called him, and he peeked a bit out of his box again. I put my fingers in front of him, and he smelled me, licked my fingers and came out of his box! I was like "ohhhh!! He loves me!!! LOL". So.. it made me feel special that he didn't came out for my niece, but did came out for me. 8)

That was a very cute story.
My rats do that as well. They mostly just come to me. They only sniff my boyfriend and watch him.

8) Algernon is a rat. He was a former lab rat, and he seems to be afraid of his own shadow most of the time. 8)
