Free Roaming Mice

I was just wondering how many of you out there have free roaming mice? My mice live on top of my desk and I have a nice set up for them. Also, could you post pics of your set ups? I' d love to see them.

Free roaming? I'd never trust my mice enough for that ^^ But they have two cages to run back and forth in, so they have plenty of room.

Hi there, Ratty_Ratkins! Yes, I am new to this forum. I got the idea of raising my mice on my desk, just based on the knowledge that mice are afraid of heights!

Ocassionally, when I had them first set up, maybe one or two would fall... but soon they stayed there..(although, I'd say its not that often you see one fall when you introduce them). On my desk I made them a wooden house, which I have polyerythaned to store it longer and so it would not absorb urine. As far as chewing goes.. there is hardly a problem-they dont chew their house..just the chewing toys and food I give them. If one were to chew the house, I would spray fooey on it (Fooey is the best animal deterent spray I have ever found, and boy is it bitter!!!!).

I will have to show you my pics! I promise to do that soon.

I used to have tons of mice (used to breed them for a local pet store) but I never was able to have them be free-roaming. Mine always chewed, but I had them in huge cages so that they didn't need to be out around the house to be free roaming. But every now and then one would get loose and it'd be free-roaming until we caught it. Haha.
