I've herd that its now illigal to purchas gambian rats is this true? Whats the next largest breed on the market?

I heard that it was illegal too...I don't even think there are any in Canada!It sucks, I would love one!

They're illegal because of monkey pox. They don't really have it but you know how people freak out. I heard gambians are hard work, and they can get nasty even if they're neutered.

oh yeah, gambians i have heard, are very ill tempered and nasty. not pet material. yup, there illegal because of a monkey pox scare

I believe Dragonmaster has a gambian and she has some adorable pictures that prove not to believe everything you hear ^_~
Also, they're being trained in africa to detect land mines, saving lives, they're handled all the time, and I think the government wouldn't be spending it's money on nasty unmanagable animals.
I thinkyou have to raise them from young things and a few websites praise on how much good pet material they are.
If Dragonmaster (I THINK that's whoit was) would like I still have her gambian rat pictures X3
I have plans to move to ireland and get my giant rat there >3
