I just bought my mice a tank topper. I hate it and I might take it back but they love the fact that they have 2 wheels now instead of one.
I did notice though, my one mousey only tried to escape when I unhooked the wheel for the night (I mean face it, the clanging is unberable when you're trying to sleep)

Also, after I bought a tank, I prefer that now over a cage anyday.

I'm used to the "clanging" from all the noise my hedgehog makes when she runs on her wheel. haha What is a tank topper?

Hey guys, I got one more question before I get my mice (which I will have hopefully this week!).....does their cage need to be a certain temp?

Yesterday's News works well for my bunny's potty tray. Kaytee Soft Sorbent bedding is great for GPs, but too loose for smaller critters. Aspen or Carefresh is best for mice.
Padfoot, how about changing on your site this >> Many people think of mice as filthy little creatures, but in my opinion, mice are very interesting little rodents. << to "Many people have negative prejudices against mice, but I think mice are not only fascinating but very clean, like all rodents."?

Room temp is fine for fancy-mice, though in general they cope better with being a bit cool than a bit warm.
You are all welcome to come nosey round my new pet mouse website
www.allaboutmice.co.uk
I have a lot of work yet to do on it but we have a good sized community on the forum and anyone who loves mice is more than welcome!
