How?

Is there any way for me to teach my girls how to run on the wheel or do I just need to let them hopefully figure it out for themselves? I did put them in the wheel, but they just jump out. They like to sleep underneath it, but I want them to actually use it.

rats dont usually use wheels, they're too smart for it, like us and treadmills, they're boring

Tell that to Jack and Bubbles. They love their wheels.

Some rats like wheels, some don't. For example; I've never seen my boy Archimedes running in a wheel, but his buddy Bubbles is in it all the time. Give it some time and let them figure it out. They either will or they won't.

He replied. "I created you.

Okay. I'll give it some time, but if I don't see them use it in the next few weeks I'll just take it out and get more toys.

My boys actually love their wheel. They poo inside it and then run in it so it makes a loud clattering noise that I can hear all over my apartment. It makes me smile whenever I hear it.

my boysies dont have a wheel, but I think it's more of a case when they either do use it or dont depending on the rat and there is not really a way of teaching them.
good luck!

Just make sure you use the proper size wheel. I am probably the only person I know that doesn't like rat wheels just because they're not big enough. If the rat runs on the wheel enough it will cause a permanent arch in their back and it will give them the curley Q tail. Considering that they need their tail for balance wheels just aren't for me.

I'm pretty sure it's a good size for rats because it came with the rat cage.
