I gave my girls boiled eggs
They went at those eggs. I cracked both of the eggs a little bit to get them started.. I had to show them that they don't eat the shell part, but then they got the hang of it.. pulling off the shell and dropping it and eatting the egg. Lily took the whole thing in her mouth and carried it underneath the towel rack, but I had to put her back on the towel. I ended up taking the shells off both for them, then they lost interest. So, I put the eggs in the cage and will keep an eye on them so they don't go bad.

I took the eggs out. They weren't eatting them anymore, but when I first gave them the eggs they were all over those things.

Just crack them and let them go at it. They will eat the entire egg. I know this because I give them the eggs the night before cage cleaning. |

I don't want the eggs to go bad during the night though. They might get rotten and make my room stink.

ohhh my rats LOVE eggs!! I have given mine an egg, fried, boiled and scrabbled so far and they LOVE it all the different ways! Its so funny, they get so grumpy if they know im eating an egg and dont give them one!!
I always peel a boiled egg first, then I chop it up and give it to them? But I spos' it works all ways!

I used to give Skrat some boiled eggs in the shell..I wanted to see how long it would take to get them cracked...in the end I would help her out by breaking it some..it was so funny to watch her try to take the whole egg in her mouth and hid it from Constantine
