i think my rat is sick


he's been sneezing more and more each day he constantly cleans his face and his eyes are kinda redish


what is this??

It could be an upper respiratory infection. These can become quite serious if left untreated. You should try to listen to his breathing. If there are any clicking, wheezing, or squeaking sounds from his chest then the infection could be pretty far along. How long have you had the rat?

I have only had het for 3 weeks and she has had nothing come out of her eyes and ears

So I guess I should bring her to the vet I live in ottawa Canada how much would it cost me to help her

You could always call around and ask for prices.

I live in the US but usually a vet visit is $40 plus meds. I have had meds that ranged from $5 to $40

I am in Newfoundland and it is around $50 to bring the rat in and about $12 for antibiotics.If anything else needs to be done,the price varies.
