Making home fo rats, need toy ideas

My moms boyfriend is making a new cage for my 2 female rats that I just adopted 1 1/2 weeks ago because we think one of them could possibly be pregnant and they only have a cage big enough for 4 rats(according to 2 rat calculators I checked out). So anyways he is making me one of those big cages and so I want it to have lots of toys for my two female rats and possibly some litter rattlets. Anyways so far I've got hammocks, water bottles, food bowl, little huts, a nesting box, 2 litter boxes, ladders and bird toys. What else do you think they'd enjoy?

These are the kinda cages my moms boyfriend is making:

Good luck!
It sounds like a good cage!
Cardboard boxes like tissue boxes and things are good too.My rats love cardboard. And little jingle balls, ladders and bells.

My female rats (I only have males now) used to love ringing the bells, because it got my attention! I would give them a treat anytime they rang a bell.My males don't care about bells.

If you use little jingle balls or cat balls be careful I had one rat that chewed it all up but I got the bell part out just in time before they could've possible choked on it. Other than that you can give them scrap fabric twised or braided together with little treats inside of them. Mine like it when I give them those.

I use the jingle balls that don't have holes in them. That way the rats can't chew thru them.I never had a problem. But that is an important point!

Skratikans will become famous soon enough
if your rat is pregnant be prepared for a lot of rats, she could potentially have up to the 20s, what will you do if she is truly pregnant?

Ok I've had my girls for about 3 weeks now and no sign of getting bigger so they aint pregnant! YES! It would have been cute though but they are so young I dont want them to have to have the burden of having lots of pups at that age

Sounds like a neat cage! I use tissue boxes, bird ladders and I have an old peice of dryer hose that I can bend and shape all different ways!
