My newest boys! They are rex rats and are 5 weeks old I believe.They actually came from a snake breeder! I didn't know she was breeding for her snakes.I don't have a problem with snakes needing to eat,but rexes??? Anyway these two boys are healthy despite being bred for snakes.

They don't have names yet...but I really wanna call one "Double Stuff Oreo"...for some reason I think it would be cute to have a big fat black and white rat named that.We'll see though.

I only have three pictures of them for now,because I don't wanna stress them out too much.They are friendly though and don't mind me handling them at all already.Even though she breeds for snake food,she handles and socializes the young.

and i like the name oreo for one of them! even cuter for a fluffy rex to be called oreo

Thanks! I have them here with me (I am at mom's...they are in a carrier) and they are sleeping in the carrier! Too cute.I am not sure which one will be named that,but I really wanna name one it! The one with more white? Hmmm...maybe!

I am not going to get anymore rats though,4 is a good number! For now!

I know! I can understand albinos and even other hoodeds,berks or selfs...but I don't understand rexes? The mother is rex,the father is not.So she is breeding for food mainly,but allows babies to go to PET homes.She has a bunch of albino females too.

I'm glad you got a hold of them before the snake did! Plan on letting them meet the other boys in the near future?

the one with the most white because you know, double stuff has the most creme...

they're too cute!
you know the pet shop i was at bred feeders in the store, and there were rex babies. and they were just 5$.
it's weird she didn't tell you before. But hey, you got them a nice home

Yes.They are quarantined now,but later on I want to introduce them.Armin would prolly love to play with a youngin' like himself!

Yeah,to a snake owner a rat is a rat.I want a snake someday,but not right now and these guys are too cute for a snake belly! (all rats are cute...but you know what I am trying to say! I know some rat owners are very against feeding snakes,so I am trying not to cause debates)...heh.

Yeah,I kinda wonder why she never mentioned that before either.Oh well.What matters now is the little guys are going to be well loved and spoiled here.

I am a snake owner and to me a rat is not just a rat or food. Some do belive that though. I dont feed my snake anything from my litters I buy the snake food.
I am glad that you got your new rattys they are so cute. that would be an awsome name for the one with more white. you could call the other one cookies and cream or opasit becuase black and white are opasit colors.
