Missy.......
My pew dumbo Missy has taken a turn for the worse. I just dont know what is wrong with her and i cantget her to the vets until tomorrow but she has suddenly got really skinny and when i say suddenly i mean like in the last 24 hours. She is very weary and old looking and breathing heavy she is extremely cold to the touch and looks kinda blue around her nose. I am gonna ring the vets first thing in the morning but until then i have tried to syringe some water into her so she doesnt dehydrate and have offered food but she wont take it and as we speak she is curled up in a cat bed with added blankets in a heated room in the hope she will warm up and perk up a bit. I am soooo worried about my baby i am very close to tears writing this i would be just gutted if anything happened to her.

Its def not old age she is only 6 months old lol. She is looking really old and weary tho but its def not old age so i dont know what is wrong with her but i am worried sick!

Poor Missy!  Yes, small animals can get very sick very quickly. I hope she makes it to tomorrow, but definitely keep trying to make her eat/drink and keep her warm, that's probably the most important thing you can do for her right now. Good luck. *hugs*

oh i hope she gets better,that's what happened to my little hairless dumbo,she got so cold and had breathing issues...she died,but hopefully that doesn't happen to yours...just rush to the vets tomorrow.hope she makes it through,just spend some time with her and try to keep her warm.

Well she is still with us and seems a little perkier today. I have been syringing warm water into her and warm salt water as she isnt really eating i am trying to get her energy levels back up. I am gonna ring the vet as soon as they open and get her in this morning. I am praying she is gonna pull through i cant lose her she is my 1st ever rat and the reason for my GMR syndrome!!

She has been to the vets and they cant find whats wrong but gave her some meds to clear her chest as its a bit rattly. She is also on baytril and has to go back on wednesday for an xray if she is still no better.

How is she?
Pedialyte (the clear kind) and some baby food should perk her up a little bit. I hope she gets better!

YAY thats good... Im happy she is getting better. I recommend trying to mash some banannas to give her because I gave that to Pepper when he was ill and that was good.
