mookie gets a friend....in 6 weeks..:(
so here's the deal. I AM getting mookie a friend (pat said yes but humms and hawws cause he hates them). the friend mookie is getting is a baby boy dumbo, from a litter had a week or two ago. The lady whom adopted my spinies, it's one of her rats that bore this litter. She said they're all dumbos. I told her that I WILL take a baby boy when they're ready to go. my mookie boy needs a buddy better than me. he loves me yes, but i can't have him out of the cage 24/7, he's working on litter training, and he's very inquisitive. that's nto bad, i just dont' want my curious rat sneaking up on my pat, it's not fair, even if it is funny lol. so i guess other than me posting for excitement purposes, i need to know what games i can play with mookie until the friend gets here. i all reayd play tickle tag with him. and he's not interested in fishing for peas (or any veggie). he loves climbing, especially up one side of the goo cage, across the top, then down the other side to HIS cage. i think he just likes getting a degu reaction lol. there's no way in heck the'd get along lol. my goos cluck like chickens at him and shovel their bedding everywhere. when the goos(in cage) get right up to mookie (on the cage) i scoop him off. i dont' trust the goos, they could bite him, his tail, his paws. i'm over careful, i'm a safe then sorry person. don't worry there. *sigh* i just feel like a kindergarten teacher with no tools! any tips, i'm open!

what i did when i owned a rat is take treats (like what every is mookie's fav.) and set up a thing like in the bathroom (make sure it's safe and he cant get into anything) but hide the treats under washcloths, toilet paper rolls, etc. and it was like a scavenger hunt
hope this helps
