Mouse breed?
I have one mouse that's mostly dark grey white a white stomach and lower jaw and a white comma/stripe shape on her back and I have a tan/orange mouse with on heart shaped white spot on the lower half of his stomach pointing towards his upper half.
Does anyone know what kind of mice they are?
Sorry no pics till I find my digicam cord

when you say breed, I know you mean variety. Fancy mice after all are just fancy mice and they come in a variety of coat colors/textures.
Its really hard to tell without pictures.

Like pinkie said, fancy mice are fancy mice, there are no breeds, just varieties. The first one you decribed might be fox, but is she has a white stripe on her back, the white in the stomach might just be recessive spotting. Whitout pictures I can't tell you much about them, however, this site might help you a bit AFRMA Fancy Rats & Mice

They look Argente to me, but fancy mice are all the same breed. They just come in different varieties.

although camera don't pick up exact color as far as the orange-tan color I'd say it's recessive yellow. but it's hard to tell.

thank you very much for your help, im not an expert on owning mice so this question might sound really wierd, do all variety of mice have thier own type of temperment? for instance are argente mice harder or easier to tame, because i am having a little trouble with them, they are around 5 months old and i got them a week ago 1 of them is coming out of her shell but the other one is very shy and scared. they haven't had any human contact before so should i just give it more time.
if anyone has any tip and tricks on taming mice, i would love to here them.
thanks cheryl

I have been breeding show mice for nearly 2 years now and I've founded a mouse club that holds bi-annual shows. I wrote the standards. lol
I didn't mean that the mouse was blue, but if you blow on the fur, you would see a blue-ish undercoat. Those mice are the pink-eyed version of agouti, which is argente. They are a beautiful fawn color(comparable to a shade of recessive yellow), ticked with a darker shade, and having a blue undercoat.
Having only the pics to go by does make it harder.
Edit: In the 2nd picture where the mouse is almost "hunched" over-- you can see the blue-ish undercoat where the mouse's fur is cracked open along the spine.

oh man i thought that the under coat in the seond pic was her skin. *doh* sorry bout that. Yeah pic make it harder for me to tell from time to time because I am semi-color blind, well my vision color spectrum is a little off compared to most peoples. I didn't mean to offend you is I did. Thanks for clearing that up though.

i have just got to say thank you once again for your help.
when i heard someone say they have a blue undertone i was like mmm really but i see it now haha.
AnimalHobbycom, i got them from a rescue centre so i have no idea what thier background is, the two little girls i got were in a gage with 12 other females, and 10 boys were in a seperate cage, the rescue warden said they were all from the same litter,
i will just take my time and let them come to me in thier own time.
i just have obne more question tho, my little mouse is very quiet and still runs everytime she heard me or anyone at the cage, could she still be missing all her other litter mates?
thank you all for your help and i will keep you all updated
cheryl.
