hello, im a newbie to this!

i have 3 dumbo rats and are absolutely gorgeous- i have a white one with red eyes and she sways from side to side, i know its because they have poor eyesight and they do that to focus and its only common in light colured rats and light eyes- also i read yesterday that if they swing their head and body then it could also be a brain tumour, pooping it now! only 8 weeks old! think shes alright though- just wanted to tell someone! thanks

you should post some pics

swinging the head and body doesnt always mean a brain tumor...usually it also involves not having balance lack a drinking water or very little

and when they "swing' their head back and forth it could also mean that they are trying to see better such as depth perception

Red,pink or ruby eyed rats often sway their head from side to side to try and see better.Their vision is a little more bad then the black eyed rats.

My pink eyed white dumbo rex does the swaying back and forth thing too. I had to look up why she was doing it as the others I have don't do it ever.
Before I knew why, I thought she just liked the music I was playing.
