I know what you mean, since I live rather close to NYC. It was freezing...I hate New York winters.
Congrats on the other additions as well . Where do you get your spiny mice? What colors do they have? It's something I've been looking into for a while.

I hate NYC Summers. This past one was HIDEOUS and severely depressed me with every day over 90 degrees F and over 90% humidity. And bugs, flies, and more bugs. And crazy high electric bills for the a/c. And sweat.
I hated it, and I love this cold! I just put on another sweater.
I have other threads and photos up on my different fancies and Spiny's.
I got some Spiny's from a
pet store (it is actually illegal to sell them without a USDA license, and maybe even with one), liked them, and got the rest. Of that six, one died a natural death, and a juvie and adult make were later attacked and mortally injured by another male.

That lest two females and one male of that bunch.
But the first new birth was a male; he is in with two new female Spiny's I got from somone I know through a pet store who gave them to me (he only breeds for profit); the bitey male is in with the third new female. Hopefully, babies will result. They all seem to be getting along.
I have to clean the big tank, and sex the many juvies separating the males for now. I have to stop those two females (and any new ones) from breeding for now. Litters are only 1-4 babies, but they add up quickly.
