I understand what you ment now by the spaying and I understood why. Vet aroudn here yes do that if the moms are to week or unnurised to deliver and not to far along.
To me and e-spay is a rat abotion but its a good thing becuase of people being careless. I dont get how hard is it to tell a male rat at 3 to 4 weeks old you can see signs and how hard it to sperate them????? granted some people dont know but some more so dont care.
Thankfully you have gotten them and helped them and I do understand that its not like you want to but you have to. Thankfully none of the rat I have ever gotten were prego before hand. I have gotten mice though. which not to many servied. And the ones that did didnt live to long.
Yes Humends have a choice and I have heard I used pertection and prego pills and all but point is weather an oops as in not planed and careless is worng, Some yes do have an oooppps and they either put it up for adoptin if the know they cant care for it or they deal with there ooooppppsss. But some are just if I have kid I can get help and are lazy. Now my parents were not exspecting or planing me but they were set that if they did have kids they could care for them but even if not they woudl have delt with there mistake cared for me. But theres help and adoption prorames for humens but not much for animals. There is no welfare for pets were they can go to find food medical or a home. And Adpotions and shelters do the best they can and Fosters.
I know animals insticktivly breed when in heat but humends who think can prevent that. Why cant animals have the same rigths and be treated like humends? they help us to guld the blind, theropy, companions search and rescues, and more.
Your new little gril is so cute. Yes it is amazing how she is so freindly being the way she was treated. I think some of them insticktively know you are helping them and are so greatful you did they show there thanks. But some are still so frightened that they dont know or understand it seems and cant tell help from harm.
I wish you the best with all the spays and the wildes. we cant save them all but we can shure try to make a diffrenc in the lives even if its just one at a time. Your new rat is very pretty and she looks so happy. how did you come up with her name? thankfully you rescued her in time. I know reptiles need to eat but there is a fine line between food and pets and overpopulating. The ones I know that breed there own food only breed so many but they feed and treat them nicely and feed them healthy. I could never do that but thank goodness you saver her. she is such a pretty rat. I bet she is very special to you. Do you have any that are special to you that stand out above the rest as in weather health wise or not. Not that you have a favorit but a special one?
well take care lilspaze and happy thanksgiving to you and your mischeifs. Even though early.

Ugh...one more I think is going to have to be done

Inky was pretty steady but has suddenly gained weight..sigh...we only had 8 more days til we were in the clear

379 / 370 / 377 / 379 / 387 / 379 / 387 / 412 grams

I have no more funds now...so if anymore pregnancies happen, they will go to term
