Those might be the uterine horns. My mouse had the same thing when she was pregnant. Has the male been chasing her?
Make sure she has plenty of food and that the cage is clean if she is pregnant.

Since they are together, there is a good chance she is pregnant. The lumps could be tumors as well. How old is the female?
Remove the male immediatly. If she is pregnant,he will most likely kill the babies and will get the mother mouse pregnant again, which is stressful on the mother.Female mice can become pregnant within 12-24 hours after giving birth.
Did you intentionally try and breed them?

I'm not sure how old she is because I got her from a pet store, I'm going to take the male out in 2 days when I get a new cage and I didn't intend to breed them but now that she's pregnant I do want to breed them (just once or twice depending on the litter size).

I don't think the male would kill the babies...mine was a great father and never hurt them. When Lucky was eating he'd actually curl up around the babies until she was finished. Most other rodent fathers hurt their kids, but I did some research before Lucky gave birth and it seemed like everyone had favorable results with their males.
But yes, you should remove him because of the pregnancy thing.

I used to breed mice and in most cases the males did kill the young.I did have a few males that did help care for the babies, but it is better not to risk it.
Are you going to keep all of the babies?

I'm going to keep them if she has 15 or less but I don't think she'll have that many

It is not good to just get animals from the petstore, put a male and female together, not expecting the fact that there will be babies, not preparing for it, and then relizing that she is pregnate, and saying that you want to breed them. It could end up being a dangerous situation for the female and the babies. Seperate them, and keep a female and male from the littler to keep mom and dad company. Breeding should be about bettering the species as a whole, not just throwing two animals together and seeing if some babies show up, especially if you don't know the breeding lines of the mice. Seperate them, please.

I would separate them now and do lots more research.
that would be best for you and your mice.

I agree; I only put the mom and dad mice in the same cage when I was watching because I didn't want Lucky to get pregnant again. Pet store mice can carry mutations from excessive inbreeding because a lot of the time siblings are kept together without being sexed.
If she has her babies keep her in a quiet room where she won't be disturbed. If they get nervous they will sometimes kill the babies.

Oh I wanna add, male mice are extremely territorial and often don't get along with other males...even related ones.So I wouldn't reccommend putting young males with the dad.You will have do introductions and the father will probably not accept his sons.
SOMETIMES male littermates will get along if they are raised up together. But males are not social like females and they can live alone.
