Question on size of rats?

I have a male pearle merle fancy rat... and I was wondering if he is abnormally large? I measured him today from tip of the nose to tip of the tail and he is 18 inches long, is this really big? Ive seen other peoples rats and they arent nearly as large... How big are some of your guys rats??

Some rats are larger than others, I would say this is normal, it does also apply to what type of rat it is, i.e; dumbo rats are one of the largest types of rats you can get. I prefer to have large rodents anyways, it seems to make them more cuddly!

I have never measured my boys, but I would estimate that they are at least 18 inches long.
