rat support need please

i feel like crap. let me tell you guys whats goin on rat wise.
i am soo allergic to rats. i just couldnt bare it anymore. i was only down to one rat and didnt want anymore. one of my mothers rats died. neither of us wanted our babies to be alone so i got my boy neutered to put with her girls.
well he got nueterd and everything seemed great! two and a half weeks after the nueter he went to live with mom. mom introduced the rats for 4 days and then put them together. the rats feel in love with each other. it was really a sight to see.
well, a few days later mom called me crying! she said "somethings wrong with cecil! he has a big scab on his nuts and it STINKS!!"
so i told her to rush him over.
well, he got an abcess! i kept him with me so he could go to the vet. mother cannot miss any work so i was her only option.
i took him to the vet the day after and she looked at him. she lanced the abcess and told me that it was a reaction to the sutures that they used. and she mentioned the other side was swollen. well she sent me home with some anti biotics and told me to do warm compresses twice a day for 10 minutes each on the swollen testical in hopes the swelling would go down.
well..... no such luck
he has to go to the vet monday because he is starting to get an abcess on that other side.
he HATES when i have to give him those compresses! he gets all teary eyed and squeeks. i cant get him out like i need to because of my allergies, he doesnt have a cagemate!
i am just overwealmed. he has been through so much more than he should had been through.
after the vet visit monday he is going back with mom. so he can be with his cagemate supervised and get the attention he needs. if mom needs me to rush him to the vet i will drive the 2 hrs up to her house and the 3 hrs back to the vet. hopefully he will not have any more problems. poor baby!

I'm so sorry to hear about that. <hugs> I hope that Cecil gets all healed up in no time, and that no more vet visits are needed.
