rats and bedbugs

A freind of mine has bedbugs and is getting her place fumigated, so we've been asked to watch her rats while it's all happening. I'm wondering if anyone knows if the rats can carry the bed bugs, and if we have to worry about them spreading to us and our critters.

yes,,, do worry about it.
bathe them, change their cage and wash their cage and toys with cleanser.
if you do all of that you don't need to worry.
Friends are good.

I have never heard of rats carrying bed bugs before.I wouldn't worry about them carrying and spreading bed bugs especially if they are not even in the same house, but I also wouldn't hang out while there are bed bugs. They do bite humans.

My cousin and ex lived in a rooming house before and there was a guy who had a bed bug infestation and was being eaten alive by them! I refused to go down there until everything was treated and cleared up.
