Rats on BBC TV News

Few days ago BBC TV London had a segment dealing with the increased rat population in London. In respect of vermin. They also showed the other side of rats. A keeper had three female rats, who were rather impressive and well behaved. Domesticated rats , as pets, sure got a boost on this programme. I just wonder if there will be any new keepers? :-)

I hope more people get rats! They make great pets, I only know two people that have pet rats (in person) and soon I will be getting mine, they are such sweethearts! I just guess it's the sewer and plauge thing that put people of.. yer sure they are poisonous.. not!
gosh, if only people could get over it.. everyone would have one!!

i agree i have to hairless pet rats and their the sweetest little babies ive ever had, ive had mice and guinea pigs but my ratties are the sweetest and adorable little things, people should stop steriotyping the poor little things just because they have a bad reputation doesnt mean that their all bad.
