Rattie Biting Her Nails

Ok,so my little Lulu grows her nails quite quickly,so we clipped them a couple days ago.I got her out earlier and I saw that she had been biting her nails, mostly her front nails. Her nails weren't very long yesterday,so I'm not quite sure why she bit them.Have any of you ever had your rats do this? And do you know what are the possible reasons she has been doing this?I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow,so I'm hoping he'll be able to figure out why she's done this, but I'm just wondering if any of you have been in this situation. Thanks!

I am not exactly sure what you mean.
Is there blood? If not,she is probably just doing normal rat grooming.

Well, she came to the point of drawing blood, but I think she was trying to trim them and got them too short.I woke up this morning though and thought she had tore a nail off,we took her to the vet a bit later, but it appears she had gotten it caught and her skin had gotten ripped off or something.Poor thing is taking it like a tough cookie and holds still while I apply her ointment to her leggie.Everything should be better in a week doc said and if not we'll have to call them and see what to do.
