I had them in the bathtub about a week ago for the first time and they HATED it. I've never seen any animal bounce and jump like that to get out of water, even my cats!
They didn't like the idea of the peas being in the water at first, then after about a half hour of realizing that I wasn't going to let them off the table they finally started to go after them and then they would shake the crap out of their paws to get the water off -.- But at least they're introduced to it now, maybe next time they wont be such chickens!

Rats seem to hate being forced into water, but many of them enjoy playing in it if they choose to. My rats usually like to walk around in the water when I give them a "pool" to play in. Some of my boys will perch on the edge of a bowl, close their eyes and put their whole heads in the water!

I love watching ratties pea fish! I love it when they don't like their little hands being wet and shake them off really fast. LOL!
