Simple, easy to make rattie fun!

I had just finished cleaning my rats cage today and just about to put them back. Before I put them back, however, I looked at their cage and decided that even though typically being males, they dont play with any of their toys, they really needed some type of stimulation. So I thought of their favourite things
hmmm....
eating and sleeping lol.
pushing the sleeping idea out of the window I got a really good idea about the eating thing!So I went to the bath room, got a toilet roll tube and some tissue paper (enough to go around the ends of the tube)
Then went through the kitchen to find some of their favourite treats...
I put the treats in the tube, covered it in tissue and with celetape or by tieing it up with string or lace or something, made it a challange to get into and put it in their cage. I was expecting them to ignore it or give up, but instead they turned into hyper, fun, playful ratties and went mad over it!! I was so happy, so I thought I'd share because it's sooo simple and quick to do, mine loved it and i'm sure yours will to! They really made me laugh trying to get into it, eventually Pepper just stuck his head through the end of the tube and looked so proud of himself lol!:hehe:

lol that's so cute! yeah vanillarat recommended that to me....a year ago maybe....it's such a good idea! and it's so fun to watch them go nuts lol

I've made those before for my boys. They love them! There are so many great things you can make with "garbage" you find around the house.
