have separated my mice as the older one is getting a bit fatter . am wondering if pet shop got mixed up and gave me a boy when I got the second one - I can't catch the youngest one to see if she is actually a boy. I guess since we have had the 2nd mouse for two weeks we should know in about a week if there are babies - shouldn't we? they will cope ok separated won't they?

Can you put the young one in a small transparent plastic bowl or carrier? If so, you can check his parts without touching him, but jut let him walk around the transparent floor while you look.
