Timbits Eye problem
I noticed a few days ago my Siamese rat hurt his eye. It looked HORRIBLE, so today was his appt and he has to go on Fucithslmic for his eye and Batril for any infection caused by his wound.
He is separated b/c of treatment and if it were to break open b/c of rough play there would be nothing the vet could do for him and have to put him down. So every 12hrs I have to give both.
He had a treat after as it is yucky, I made Tuna Helper ((w/o milk)) and he got some for a treat. Just a small portion!!

Me as well, it looks bad but not as bad as it did. Thankfully I was able to get him in ASAP, as it was his eye that was affected. Serious injury but he is OK and taking it easy in a small cage away from everything.

I didn't see his eye,but what was it,do you know? Glaucoma is apparently common in rats, but I have never dealt with it.
With the meds,he should recover well.

 Hmm I am not sure as it was my sister who brough him to her work, I was working at the time. They said as long as he stays on meds he may improve. I have to check back with them in 10 days.

He can now, b4 he could not! It was bad!! It is soft I think, I have not felt it. But now it is back to a normal size. He is now enjoying some fresh veggies, just had the meds again and that is his treat.

it's really not that uncommon in rats since they wrestle around and stuff. I hope he gets better!
