TONS of pics of my girls!!! :)

I've been taking a lot of photos the past couple of days and I thought I would post a few of them for everyone to see. I am just doing the girls as of now, but will post the boys pics tomorrow or the next day once I get some updated ones. ♥

Pebbles being cute. She is up for adoption to the right home.

Mocha (Dumbo havanna hooded) and Wrinkles in the front.

Mocha eating some pineapple

Mocha eating some papaya. She eats a lot LOL!

Caramel trying to hurry and run away with her prized piece of Papaya

Um, eating...again

Blue and Mocha. Blue is so cute here giving her little ratty wink. She is a dumbo Russian Blue satin berk with headspot

Blue's face. I can't wait to see how she looks when she's all grown!

Mocha in front, Caramel in back

Marshmellow

Caramel eating some scrambled eggs

More in second post!

From left to right:

Marshmellow, Caramel, Pebbles, Wrinkles and Blue.

Marshmellow and Blue

Marshmellow after her bath. Check out her hairdo LOL!

Pebbles got a bath too. I clip all their nails before hand and Pebbles HATED it! She is the sweetest rat but she got really angry with me that night. She was so angry in fact, that her tail was twitching. It was strange so I filmed her tail LOL. It was like a lizards tail after it gets chopped off. It was just going bazerk. Here she is after her bath.

Since she was so angry with me I made a truce by sharing my Cadburry Creme Egg with her.

Blue after her bath

Blue all dried off

I'll try to upload the video of her tail so everyone can see it. It was the first time I've seen anything like it. She must have really been upset at me. I've never had a rat complain so much about a nail trim.

Wow... they are sooo awesome. I love your enclosure too. I didn't expect them to be housed like that ... it's very professional. All your rats are beautiful and they all look very healthy -- it is obvious that you love them and take care of them all very well. I like them all but I think Blue is my favorite .. I like her color and the fact that she seems so smooth and soft looking.

Thanks!

They are actually in need of a new cage. Once Dan's father gets back from Costa Rica we are making them a custom 6 foot tall cage on wheels so it's easy to roll around. In stead of wire it will have solid shelves so cleanups easier.

Your rats are cute! In that picture you were feeding your rat a cadbury egg, I could have sworn rats weren't allowed chocolate, is that true or just something I have misheard?

Rats aren't like dogs. Chocolate is absolutely fine in small amounts, in fact, it also acts as a mild bronchiodialator and is helpful for rats suffering from respiratory distress as it opens up the airways. My rats get chocolate all the time, in small amounts. If however you give too much, it's a cardio stimulator and can cause a heart attack. So yes it's fine, in small amounts. Where did you read that?

I guess I was thinking along the lines of dogs, and think maybe on another forum was told not to give it to my hamster. I was just asking though!
