Are you really able to handle those mice at 3 days? Doesn't that hurt em?

You gotta be careful and make sure that the mom trusts you enough.

Aww, they're adorable! What kind of bedding are you using? It looks a little odd in the pictures...

Their ears are starting to develope. One of them has a left ear that is slightly smaller than the other though. ( I actually think it's kind of cute ) So are their eyelids. they have the most adorable little faces. Four of them for sure are going to be black, or at least dark. The others I think are going to be white, but there are a couple tiny signs of a splotch or two like their mother. Panya, their aunt, really doesn't like me holding the babies. she gets more upset than trixie who just sits nearbye and watches patiently. haha anyway. that's the update. I'll post a couple more pictures next time i get a chance. ta ta!

They are cute little guys! Cannot wait to see more pics!
Pine is bad, you should consider switching over to a safer bedding!

Too cute!!
Yes, plase switch from the Pine to Aspin. Rats can get seriously sick with Pine/Cedar shavings. And since they do not have such long lives as it is, make sure they live it healthy!! My rats have died many times b/c of that type of shavings. I know pine and cedar (esp. Cedar) have a nice scent to it, but it can cause respitory infection, etc ... better safe than sorry!

Hey, just thought I'd update a bit. Turns out the pale ones are NOT white!!! I'm still learning a lot of the different names, but the best I can describe them is a very light tan, almost cream color. There are 5 light babies, and four dark. Two dark ones are girls and two light ones are girls. The rest are boys. I named the girls Chai, Latte, Mocha, and Frappucino (can you tell I Love coffee?? ;P). The two dark boys I named Romeo and Fievel. The three light boys have no distinctive marking so I named them the 3 musketeers (my mom said I should name them the 'Mouse'keteers, but I can only stand a certain level of cheesiness lol) ANYway. I can't keep the boys once they are old enought to breed so I have to find homes for the 5 of them, their older brother Theodore, and their dad Omega (AKA Thor aka Star) I'm keeping the older boys in a different cage for now. I'm putting off giving them to the pet store because they'll most likely put them on sale as feeder mice within the week. So, anyone want some adorable little boys?
Here are some pictures I took of them last night. enjoy.
