What do you think?

No, I did not get a rodent of any sort (in less you count the dead ones in the freezer) but I am here to ask and seek your opinions on these hammocks that I have been making in my space time. They are mostly rat/mouse sized but there is a ferret sized one. Any comments, questions, concerns, suggestions are appreciated and welcome.

First are the plain hammocks. I have a lady coming to buy these for her 3 rats on the weekend.

Small bed sheet

Biggest one (flannel)

Smaller one (flannel)

Tunnel (fleece and flannel)

Another view

And not a hammock but I just sewed this one. It is a chute so you can teach agility to your mouse or rat Its flannel and recycled plastic cup. (Not sold)

I think they are great! I've been making my own hammocks as well, and I never thought of making a chute, I'm gonna try that out. It'd be fun to do an at home rattie Olympics, haha.

Nice job, I love them. And I'm sure the ratties do too.

i make alot of stuff for my ratties aswell. i found that pollorfleece is always without fail there favorite material. i like the look of yours. i ussually use braided strainds of cloth for the corner ties/strings. the pollar fleece ones look awesome with a blanket stitch around them but i have had a problem with one rat chewing and getting caught in the the ebroidery thread i used to make it. the most recent one i made i used a micro fiber thread and looped it through the sides. i havnt had any problems with chewing with this. im debating trying a different material rather than fleece, because it is so warm out right now. one of my females who is rather shy will curl up in it for rather long periods of time and if we have a very warm day i am worried about her over heating in it. keep at it they look awesome!! and by the way cats love hammocks too if you have cats try making them one.

I actually have one in the cage for the kitten. He LOVES it and will even climb up the cage to get to it (the top door is usually open). I took it away for 2 days to wash it and put it back in this morning and the little guy was curling up sleeping in it straight away

Some new hammocks that I made. I have switched to using ribbon for the loops since its easier then having to sew loops, I have also stopped with the blanket stitch since I learned to do a hidden stitch to close it.

Yellow Cord

Flannel

Fleece
