What food can rats eat?

Can I feed them red radish, broccolli, and carrots? How about grapes and bananas? These are all foods that i have at my house. I was just wondering if it was safe for rats to eat. I've also heard that it's okay for them to eat chocolate, is this true?

Rats have similar diets to us,so you can feed them almost anything. Some foods should only be fed in moderation tho.I am not sure about radish, but the other things you mentioned can be given to them in moderation.

Chocolate is not toxic to rats,as it is for dogs and cats.So I admit on very special occasions I give mine a tiny piece. It should not be given alot,as it is high in sugar and very sugary things are not good or nutricious (I think I spelled that wrong) for rats.In studies, where scientists gave rats ALOT of chocolate to see the effects, the only thing that happened was male rats became infertile.

you can feed your rats chocolate in very small quantities, Im not sure about the radish as I think it could be toxic and have acids in it, the fruits you have are fine, but never give them oranges or orange juice as this causes cancer.

Chocolate is not toxic to a rat,as it is to dogs and cats. However if you do give your rat a TINY bit, make sure it is not often, because it is sugary.
